Bli med på ashtanga yoga praksisuke med Inger og Monika

Med til sammen 30 års erfaring, er de forankret i ashtangametoden som praksis på matta og i livet.

Denne uka er en anledning til å fordype seg i yogapraksis gjennom ledet og mysoreklasser, workshops, chanting & meditasjon, filosofi, samtaler rundt praksisen og unike naturopplevelser på Nøsen.

Dette er for nysgjerrige og dedikerte deltakere som ønsker å gå i dybden på en transformerende praksis for livet.

Alle nivåer og erfaringer av praktiserende er velkommen.




Om Inger & Monika

Inger har praktisert yoga i 10 år. Ashtanga har vært hennes daglige praksis siden 2017. Hun tok sin første tur til Mysore i 2018. I 2022 fikk hun velsignelsen til å undervise metoden av sin lærer Sharath Jois (SYC autorisasjon level 2). Inger har undervist yoga siden 2016, og har i tillegg til ashtanga undervist yin, vinyasa og hatha yoga i flere år. Hun har 200hr TTC i hatha yoga ved Sofia Araujo, og 200 hr TTC ved Alexander Medin. Fra 2020 til 2022 drev Inger Kristine yogastudio i heimbygda i Ulsteinvik. Inger Kristine er en dedikert praktiserende og formidler av metoden. Hun formidler ashtanga yoga som en transformerende praksis for kropp, sinn og sjel.

Med over 20 års daglig praksis i Ashtanga Yoga, bærer Monika med seg en dyp erfaring og et sterkt nærvær i sin undervisning. Hun har undervist i mer enn 12 år – både ved Puro Yoga i Oslo og gjennom egne kurs, retreats og workshops, samt i fengsler og bedrifter. Monikas undervisning er forankret i både tradisjon og livserfaring. Hun har studert med blant annet Alexander Medin og Pernille Bønkan, og har fordypet seg med sertifiserte Ashtanga-lærere internasjonalt. Gjennom ulike faser av livet – som kunststudent, gjennom graviditeter og småbarnstid, og i en travel hverdag – har hun vendt tilbake til matten, igjen og igjen. Hun vet hvor utfordrende det kan være, men også hvor transformerende praksisen er. For Monika er yoga mer enn bevegelser og pust – det er en livslang vei til balanse. Hun underviser med varme og tilstedeværelse, og møter både nybegynnere og erfarne med respekt og åpenhet. Hennes tilnærming til yoga vektlegger likeverdigheten mellom det myke og det kraftfulle – i oss og i livet.

Tuesday 3/2

  • 15:00 – 18:00 Arrival at Nøsen

    • Welcome to Nøsen. Sunday evening we arrive at Nøsen. Check-in and settling in.

Wednesday 4/2

  • 07:30 – 09:00 Led Primary Series

    • Classical led Primary Series, counted in Sanskrit. We gather the group by practicing a led class together.

  • 09:00 – 10:30 Breakfast

  • 12:00 – 13:00 Chanting & Meditation

    • Chanting is a central part of the yoga tradition. We will explore foundational Indian chants, as taught at SYC. We chant together and look at translations of the chants. The session ends with a short meditation.

  • 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch

  • 16:00 – 17:30 Workshop: Tristana – Rooted in the Method

    • Tristana is a threefold principle that forms the foundation of our physical Ashtanga Yoga practice. We take a closer look at breath, bandha, and drishti. We break down the Tristana principle and do exercises to increase awareness of it in practice.

  • 18:00 Dinner

Thursday 5/2

    • The traditional way of teaching and practicing Ashtanga Yoga, as taught in Mysore, India. Practice your individual Ashtanga Yoga sequence with skilled personal guidance from Inger and Monika. Suitable for absolutely all levels and experiences.

  • 09:00 – 10:30 Breakfast

  • 11:30 – 13:00 Workshop: Inner & Outer Strength

    • How can we develop strength to be better equipped and protected in our practice? Strength comes from within, and in this workshop we look at inner mechanisms and exercises we can use—both in physical practice and through awareness of Tristana—to strengthen the whole yoga practice.

    • We will also reflect on strength in life: how cultivating strength on the mat can make us stronger in life. Starting with foundational asanas from the Ashtanga sequence, we gradually build toward more complex postures. An energetic and inspiring workshop for all levels.

  • 16:00 – 17:00 Free Time

Friday 6/2

  • 07:30 – 09:00 Mysore Style

    • The traditional way of teaching and practicing Ashtanga Yoga, as taught in Mysore, India. Practice your individual Ashtanga Yoga sequence with skilled personal guidance from Inger and Monika. Suitable for absolutely all levels and experiences.

  • 09:00 – 10:30 Breakfast

  • 12:00 – 13:00 Cold Water Bathing

    • Group ice bathing at Nøsen. An experience that strengthens and awakens the mind—just like yoga practice.

  • 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch

  • 16:00 – 17:00 Introduction to Yoga Philosophy – Yoga Sutras: Observing the Mind

    • A foundational introduction to the philosophy underlying Ashtanga practice. We begin with the opening sutras of Patanjali and share insights from practice. Together we explore how this philosophy can support us both on and off the mat.

  • 12:00 – 13:00 Workshop: Courageous Heart – Backbends

    • We explore backbends, from foundational to more advanced postures. Backbends are about more than flexibility—they teach surrender and vulnerability, as well as the courage to meet the world with an open heart. An inspiring and educational workshop for all levels.

  • 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch

  • 16:00 – 17:00 Chanting & Meditation

  • 18:00 Dinner

Sunday 8/2

  • 07:30 – 09:30 Led Primary Series + Talk

    • Classical led Primary Series, counted in Sanskrit. We gather the group by practicing together. After class, there will be a talk with Inger and Monika on relevant topics around practice, as well as a reflection on the week.
