Black Lotus Retreat with Ty Landrum - 1 or 2 weeks

Black Lotus Retreat with Ty Landrum - 1 or 2 weeks

Black Lotus Yoga is the latest blossom of the modern vinyasa tradition, a potent ritual of breath and movement that opens the inner channels of the body and invites the creative sap to flow. Based on old Hatha principles, Black Lotus Yoga works with the natural movements of the breath to rouse the sleeping parts of the soul, and to make space for her dormant powers to unfold. In this retreat, we explore the Black Lotus system inside and out. We learn the outer forms and sequences that comprise the Black Lotus system, together with the inner forms of breath, bandha and mudra that bring the practice alive.

Beyond the study of technique, we explore the philosophy and mythology behind the practice, drawing from traditional sources and uncovering timeless teachings while using our hearts to reimagine what modern yoga is all about. Most importantly, we practice together deeply, making space within our bodies for consciousness to breathe.

No prior experience with Black Lotus is necessary, but some familiarity with Mysore practice is recommended. Ashtanga practitioners are absolutely welcome to join. Black Lotus Yoga was born from Ashtanga, and the two practices flow beautifully side by side. Morning Mysore sessions will support both styles, and you can practice either as you wish. There is an abundance of passion in the emergence of Black Lotus Yoga, and you are invited to share in the new blossoming.

Program

This retreat involves six days of asana practice, together with a rich series of workshops lovingly designed to support your exploration of Black Lotus Yoga. The workshops will explore such subjects as postural alignment, internal breath, bandha, mudra, energetic balance, and of course, the philosophy and mythology of Hatha Yoga. Expect a careful balance of practice, somatic exploration, practical instruction and inspiring philosophy—along with ample time to wander in the high mountains and settle more deeply into the experience. Expect to leave this retreat with a wider opening in your heart, and a yoga practice that has renewed depth and potency.

About Ty

Ty Landrum is a poet, philosopher, somatic explorer and apprentice to the body.  He learned yoga from pain and heartache, loss and confusion, old books and lost tapes, full moons, long bouts of silence, cold winds, simplicity, forgiveness, surrender, and the caring words of a few good friends.

A Summer of Depth – Sadhana Intensive with Alexander Medin

A Summer of Depth – Sadhana Intensive with Alexander Medin

This summer, we invite you to step away from noise and routine — and into something simpler, deeper, and more real.

Nøsen and Alexander Medin welcome you to four days of sincere practice, reflection, and renewal in the Norwegian mountains. This is not just another yoga retreat. It is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and immerse yourself in yoga as a living path.

Whether you are new to yoga or have practiced for decades, you are welcome.

Teaching will be offered in English and Norwegian.

Why This Is Different

There is something rare about practicing in a place where nature is vast, silence is natural, and life moves at a slower rhythm.

Nøsen is surrounded by open sky, mountain air, clean water, and quiet forests. When you practice here, the landscape itself becomes part of the teaching. The stillness supports your attention. The space around you creates space within you.

And you are guided by someone who has walked this path for over 30 years.

Alexander Medin has dedicated his life to practice, study, and teaching. His approach is steady, clear, and deeply rooted in both classical yoga and lived experience. He does not teach trends. He teaches what endures.

His gift is making depth accessible — whether you are taking your first steps or refining a lifelong practice.

A Practice You Can Live With

The purpose of this intensive is not performance. It is integration.

Over four thoughtful days, you will:

  • Deepen your understanding of what yoga truly points toward

  • Explore how posture, breath, attention, and philosophy connect

  • Learn how to build a sustainable, personal practice

  • Clarify what matters — and let go of what does not

This is about cultivating steadiness without hardness, clarity without pressure.

Yoga becomes powerful when it moves from something you do on the mat to something that supports how you live.

A Balanced and Supportive Structure

The program adapts to the participants. If needed, we divide into levels so that both beginners and experienced practitioners feel supported and challenged in the right way.

Each day may include:

  • Early morning meditation or mantra (japa)

  • Guided asana or Mysore-style self-practice

  • Pranayama and technical refinement

  • Teachings from classical yoga texts

  • Afternoon sessions focused on integration, breath, and subtle awareness

The rhythm is steady and human. Enough depth to grow. Enough space to breathe.

The Experience of Nøsen

Between sessions, you can:

  • Walk directly from the hotel into the mountains

  • Swim or cold plunge in the clear lake

  • Sit in silence with a book

  • Rest deeply without distraction

You are nourished by simple, wholesome food. You are surrounded by people who come with intention. You are held by nature.

Many describe Nøsen not only as a retreat center — but as a place that changes their relationship to practice and their own lives.

This Intensive Is For You If You:

  • Want to understand yoga more deeply

  • Seek clarity and inner steadiness

  • Wish to strengthen your practice in a meaningful way

  • Are new and want a solid, safe foundation

  • Have practiced for years and want to reconnect with the essence

  • Long for a summer retreat that feels genuine and transformative

Yoga is not about becoming someone else. It is about becoming more aligned with what is already true.

We would be honored to welcome you to Nøsen this summer.

A warm welcome to Nøsen!

Self-Love Retreat with Susanne and Anette Bastviken

Self-Love Retreat with Susanne and Anette Bastviken

Come and join us for second retreat at Nøsen, Norway, following our  beautiful, transformational sold-out success from last year! We will take a journey into deepening self-love, healing past wounds, exploring our shadow, investigating our blocks to self-love. We will invite in fun, love, and joy, beautiful self-talk and of course bask in the healing nature together. During our 6 days, 5 nights together, we will go on a journey of meditation, workshops, ceremony, horseback riding, hiking, daily movement, and beautiful meals together.

What you will learn

Our intention is for you to remember to celebrate life, your passions and your purpose. To remember that you can only love yourself to healing and growth, and to slowly let go of harmful self-punishment, negative self-talk and holding yourself back. The week is put together in order to deepen your self-love in various ways. Firstly, we invite you to get to know yourself on a deeper level than ever before. Daily habits such as gentle movement, nourishing foods and spending time in nature will help your body release stress and enter into clarity. Through stillness and meditation, we get to know new and complex layers of our soul, and we connect to something bigger than us. Through workshops, we actively seek to let go of anything that blocks us, and to strengthen our self-trust and confidence. Connecting with horses can be a profound experience that shows you your fears, and horses often mirror to us what we need to learn. We will have transformational experiences and practice wellness on all levels with lots of self-care and basking in Norwegian nature!

We have created our retreats so that you can strengthen the most important relationship in your life – namely the one you have with yourself. You will also leave with new friendships and a beautiful community, which for us is a huge part of love and growth.

This location is just, wow. We welcome you to join us at the magical Nøsen Yoga and Mountain Hotel, three hours way from Oslo. We will be surrounded by beautiful nature and wild mountains 906 meters above sea level. Nøsen Yoga and Mountain Hotel is a charming mountain yoga resort full of soul and kindness. The owners and managers are all here out of the pure love in their hearts, seeking to live in purpose, to give back to society and to heal themselves and the world. And you can feel it just walking through the door! The people at Nøsen truly practice what they preach, and you will find the staff meditating and doing their yoga practices early in the morning with a view over the beautiful garden and lake.

The hotel has been welcoming guests since 1888 under the name Nøsen Fjellhotell (when our great grandparents used to come and stay with their friends!). Today the hotel is primarily a retreat center. Around Nøsen there are several mountains of up to 1700 meters and good opportunities for skiing, cycling, canoeing and fishing. We will be basking in nature every day, riding horses, and paddling on the lake, canoeing, swimming, walking barefoot and dipping in the river. From our hotel, we can wander barefoot down to the lake, where we can take our morning and evening dips. The retreat offers an opportunity to disconnect from daily stress and immerse in the beauty and tranquillity of nature. It's a place that allows you to slow down, breathe, and remind yourself what is truly important in your life.

The Food

We will enjoy delicious plant-centered food by two in-house chefs who cook with heart and soul. We will not go hungry at Nøsen, and the meals are super abundant, colorful, healthy and vibrant. The hotel offers buffet-style meals with informal seating, meaning that if the sun is shining, we gather outside for meals and great conversations. Nøsens head chef is Belgian and specialized in vegan cooking who creates organic, homemade delicious meals. They also have a baker who are playing with both gluten free, sourdough and normal pastries.

We will be enjoying nourishing in-season foods that are created with the love for nature, health and wellbeing for all! Our experience last year was that of eating healthier than ever, feeling vibrant, refilled, supported in our journeys of growth, and well taken care of.

We will practice eating slowly, in connection with our bodies and in gratitude! Anette and Susanne will guide and nudge you to aware and intuitive eating.

During our meals, the most healing and opening conversations are held, so join in for the joy of eating together! There is snacks available for purchase if we get hungry in between meals, such as bars, fruit, chips, healthy chocolates. There is also a coffee bar that makes everything from your favorite flat white to turmeric latte, and several cold beverages such as sparkling water and kombucha for sale.

Our Days

Picture starting your day slowly, looking out the window at serene nature. It's quiet. A couple of insects are buzzing, birds are chirping. You leave your phone unattended. Do some light stretches. Journal a couple of thoughts from your dream-state. Clean your face and slowly enter the yoga shala, where you meet with your new friends who are delighted to see you. We start with slow movements, lymph drainage, stretching and activating our bodies, followed by a soothing meditation. Then we meet downstairs to enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast created by the in-house chefs where we have about 10 different options - even for breakfast!

We spend mid-day in nature, either hiking, horse riding or SUP-ing on the lake, before we gather for lunch followed by a transformational workshop. Our workshops will be on topics such as manifesting as your authentic self, scripting your dream life, deepening of self-love - and are always based on what you as guests most want to dive into. Our workshops often create big aha-moments, emotional releases, beautiful shares and healing of old, deep wounds in a safe space. It's so beautiful and powerful.

You take lots and lots of rest, read a book, do some journaling, maybe take a nap to integrate. Before we meet for beautiful dinner together with new friends. Meaningful conversations lead us to even deeper connection, and we meet in the yoga shala for a short nervous system regulating practice before we enjoy some alone-time before drifting off to a deep restorative sleep. Then we wake up, and do it over again

About Anette and Susanne Bastviken

We are Anette & Susanne, the founders of Radical Broccoli. Radical Broccoli was created out of a feeling that “there was something more out there”. Back in 2014, we felt something had to change. We were feeling stuck, bored, exhausted, and unhappy. We knew there had to be a possibility to feel happier, healthier, more abundant, freer and to live richer lives. We decided to quit our jobs and create the lives we dreamed of. It didn't feel worth it to live an unfulfilling life. As an extension of this outer journey, we started looking within, to create true inner sustainability, to heal old wounds, to learn to live and thrive as entrepreneurs, sisters, and friends, and feel whole again.

Nature has always inspired us. When we felt ill, we could understand what nature felt like when being polluted by our poor habits. Nature also taught us how life moves in seasons. No day will be the same, and we need to accept change. Nature helped us feel how we are inherently worthy, that not one single thing, being or person is the same and that that is our gift. Nature also showed us the biggest secret - how abundance is our natural state.

With our discoveries came a passion to share. We have now created a community of over 23.000 people, and we are still so passionate about our mission. Welcome to the Radical Broccoli community.

Norges Yogafestival 2026

Norges Yogafestival 2026

Welcome to Norway’s largest yoga festival!

For the 12th year in a row, we are delighted to invite you to Norway’s Yoga Festival at Nøsen. This is the festival that brings together playful yoga enthusiasts and dedicated practitioners for a full week of celebration, exploration, and community around the many fascinating aspects of yoga.

More than 30 Norwegian and international teachers

Knowledgeable teachers from many traditions and several corners of the world are coming to share their experience and insight. There will be 170+ different yoga classes, talks, workshops, and panel discussions. You can immerse yourself in asana, meditation, breathwork, japa, philosophy, restorative practices, and music. And not least: community, connection, and hopefully good, honest conversations.

Yoga as transformation

This is not just a festival. It is a celebration, a community, and an invitation to slow, genuine, and honest change – both within ourselves and in the way we meet the world.

This year’s theme is:

Transformation and Change

Transformation and Change

What really happens when we practice yoga over time? What is the actual transformation in the body, in the nervous system, in our emotional life, and in the way we see ourselves?

This year’s theme goes straight to the heart of what yoga promises: an inner journey where old patterns loosen their grip, moments of clarity arise, and a new, freer relationship with life begins to grow.

Big questions – your own answers

What does yoga do to you after one year? Or after ten?
Can we measure inner change in breath, pulse, nervous system, thoughts, and relationships?
What does emotional transformation look like in real life?
How can gratitude help us open the heart?
How do chanting, japa and mantra change the brain and mind over time?

More than 30 teachers – over 170 classes

  • Dynamic morning classes

  • Restorative and therapeutic sessions

  • Breath and mantra meditation

  • Talks on the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gītā

  • Japa meditation and bhakti

  • Workshops on self-understanding, inner work and emotional transformation

  • Evening activities, rituals, sharing circles, music

Every day, you will be able to enjoy three nutritious vegetarian meals prepared by our fantastic chefs. Between classes, you can swim in the Storfjorden, jump in the waterfall, lie in the grass and relax, or hike on beautiful trails in the magnificent mountain wilderness. We also offer rental of SUP boards and canoes.

From Acceptance Through Deep Meditation To Personnal Transformation - With Master Jai Hari Singh

From Acceptance Through Deep Meditation To Personnal Transformation - With Master Jai Hari Singh

A Therapeutic Kundalini Yoga Workshop with Master Jai Hari Singh

“From acceptance through deep meditation to personnal transformation” is a profound therapeutic workshop designed to guide you through a structured process of inner renewal. Through deep meditation and the transformative technologies of Kundalini Yoga, Jai Hari Singh invites you to rebuild yourself from the foundation upward.

This process brings conscious attention to your personal history illuminating the emotional and psychological imprints that continue to shape your present life. With clarity and compassion, you will be guided to release unnecessary burdens carried from the past, healing the patterns that prevent you from moving forward and prospering fully.

It is time to choose happiness!

It is time to leave behind fear, trauma, and inner panic!

A Deep Process of Inner Transformation

This therapeutic immersion facilitates a profound transformation of the Self through the internal technology of Kundalini Yoga. These practices establish a living connection between the heart and the deeper layers of your inner being.

At a subconscious level, this journey becomes a true “clearing of the house.” We will work to find the way to release step by step in a safe, neutral and peaceful environment in order to liberate ourselves from burdens that don't allow us to be totally free and happy like:

  • Stored emotional pain

  • Unintegrated trauma

  • Suppressed frustration and anger

  • Persistent fear and anxiety

  • Emotional exhaustion and depressive states

  • Psychosomatic manifestations of unresolved feelings

These accumulated impressions cloud our awareness of the present moment and disconnect us from the experience of our own inner divine presence. Through breath, meditation, and conscious immersion, we restore clarity, vitality, and full awareness.

Together, we will explore liberation through a rebirthing process — a powerful meditative method rooted in yogic self-hypnosis. This approach allows lifelong psychological defenses to gradually soften, enabling the subconscious to release painful memories safely and organically.

This is not about reliving suffering.

It is about integrating the past, reclaiming your wholeness, and stepping into a renewed sense of freedom.

Reset: Where You Began with Irene Algar

Reset: Where You Began with Irene Algar

This summer, I’m inviting you to join me for a special international retreat, unlike any of my previous editions: this time, we’re traveling to Norway.

If you follow me on social media, you already know how meaningful this country is to me. It will be my fifth time visiting, and I’ve thoughtfully and carefully designed this retreat so we can experience everything it has to offer together.

I’ll take you to a place where you can reconnect with nature and the sense of calm we so often need to gain perspective, slow down, and let time pause for a moment while the rest of the world keeps moving

A true journey inward through Yoga, mountain hikes in breathtaking nature, and a beautiful hotel designed to nurture and reset your body, mind, and soul.

Retreat info in Spanish

A RETREAT TO CONNECT WITH EVERYTHING THAT MAKES US FEEL ALIVE

7-day, 6-night trip to a little nook in the Norwegian mountains that I've been wanting to share with you for a very long time.

We will be staying all week at the Nosen Hotel, a beautiful place that means a lot to me.

That hotel, that lake, and the peace that permeates its yoga shalas and beyond its windows, somehow changed my life last year...

And since then,I've been excited to bring this retreat to life and share it with you.

We will practice Vinyasa and Yin Yoga sessions in stunning shalas, there will be space for super refreshing baths in the lake (not super cold, I promise!), sauna sessions, paddle sup when the weather permits and two very epic mountain hikes are planned between fjords.

One of them, Besseggen, is said to be the most beautiful in the country.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

It will be a week of total rest, since the whole trip is carefully organized so that you only have to come and enjoy yourself like never before.

I will manage the routes and transfers, and although flights and arrival at the hotel are not included, I will help you with the entire booking and logistics process.

In the hotel you'll find several yoga shalas, a beautiful dining room with stunning windows where you can relax, read or admire the scenery, a lounge with a fireplace (yes, it's summer, but it's often lit, which is a dream for those of us who want to escape the heat!), a huge outdoor space surrounded by mountains and a beautiful lake, different routes and walks that start right from the hotel door, and even a couple of trampolines in the garden!

The meals, all buffet style, will be vegetarian and I assure you they're delicious. And you'll have plenty of time for much-needed free time and relaxation.

About Me

I’m Irene Algar, a Yoga teacher, nature and sports lover, and a content creator focused on wellness, travel, and meaningful experiences.

For many years, I have been organizing highly exclusive events and retreats both nationally and internationally, while also regularly teaching yoga classes and teacher training courses.

After leading retreats several times in Tanzania, Zanzibar, Iceland, and Lapland, it's now time to visit Norway!

I love organizing these trips where I bring together all my passions, and where we share so many experiences together in a way that is difficult to put into words.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your interest in this retreat.

If English-speaking participants join the retreat, the classes and activities will be offered in both languages (spanish and english)

I truly hope it works out for you and that you can join me.

If you want to know more about me and stay up to date, you can visit my website:

Practical info

The travel dates are designed for those who want to arrive in Oslo the weekend before and explore the city, then take the bus or train to Gol or Fagernes on Monday, or for those who want to arrive directly on that day, as there is a flight that can be combined with an afternoon bus that will drop you off at the hotel that night. Pick up time at Gol or Fagernes must be sent directly to post@nosneyoga.no at least 24 hours in advance.

Likewise, there will be a WhatsApp group where all doubts can be resolved and flights between all and the best combinations can be viewed.

As always, the proposed activities may be subject to change depending on the weather or external conditions, but we always have several alternatives planned to make each day perfect.

Thank you so much, as always, for your interest and love.

I promise to do my best, once again, to make this trip to Norway an unforgettable adventure.

Inner Calm & Renewed Energy – Fascia Yoga, Breathwork and Sound Bath - with Nanne Emelie Andersen

Inner Calm & Renewed Energy – Fascia Yoga, Breathwork and Sound Bath - with Nanne Emelie Andersen

Welcome to a retreat where you can soften your shoulders, reconnect with your breath, and give yourself space for rest and presence. Through gentle fascia yoga, calm morning practices, breathwork, mindfulness, sound baths, and time in nature, you are invited to land more deeply within yourself.

This retreat is not about performance, but about softening. About listening to the body with kindness and allowing the nervous system to return to calm, balance, and natural vitality.

Through slow and nourishing practices, we strengthen our connection to what is gentle and alive within us. When the body is met with awareness rather than pressure, many experience a release of tension, freer breathing, and a deeper sense of inner peace.

The retreat includes:

  • Gentle restorative fascia yoga (yogasomatics)

  • Calm morning flow yoga

  • Breathing exercises and techniques that support the autonomic nervous system

  • Mindfulness and presence practices

  • Gong baths and sound journeys

  • Walking meditation in the nature surrounding Nøsen

  • Plenty of time for rest, reflection, and personal space

The fascia plays an important role in the body’s mobility, stability, and inner connection. Through soft, slow movements and long, restful postures, the body is invited to release unnecessary tension — especially in areas such as the neck, shoulders, and lower back. At the same time, the nervous system is given time and space to settle, allowing the body to return more naturally to balance.

The afternoons are spacious and quiet, offering time for mountain walks, rest by the fireplace, silence, or simply being. You will have the opportunity to absorb the experience at your own pace while enjoying the beautiful surroundings and nourishing food that Nøsen is known for.

The retreat is open to everyone, whether you are completely new to yoga or have many years of experience. The practices are gentle, accessible, and adapted to each individual. There is space here to come exactly as you are.

Tools for a calmer nervous system

An important part of the retreat is that you not only experience calm while you are here — you will also leave with simple and practical tools you can use in everyday life.

You will learn gentle breathing techniques, regulating exercises, and how conscious awareness can support balance in the autonomic nervous system. Together, we explore how to meet stress, restlessness, and overwhelm with greater safety, self-compassion, and body awareness.

The intention is that you return home with a deeper understanding of your own nervous system — and with supportive tools for navigating a fast-paced life.

Relaxing sound baths

During the relaxing sound baths, Nanne Emelie uses gong, singing bowls, voice, and other resonant instruments. The sounds move through the body like soft vibrations and can feel like an inner massage for the nervous system.

Many describe the experience as deeply relaxing, meditative, and grounding. For some, it becomes an inward journey; for others, a long-awaited pause from the pace of daily life. Often, a sense of stillness, wholeness, and deep rest arises in the body afterward.

About Nanne Emelie

Nanne Emelie Andersen is a yoga and meditation teacher, craniosacral therapist, holotropic breath work facilitator, sound therapist, and musician.

She has more than 25 years of experience with yoga and meditation, and since childhood she has had a natural connection to inner work, stillness, and presence.

Through her work, she has developed a special focus on fascia and the nervous system, and her teaching is characterized by a gentle, holistic, and intuitive approach. She believes the body should never be pushed, but instead met with listening, respect, and kindness. Her calm, grounded presence creates a safe space where participants can slow down and reconnect with themselves.

The Rested You Retreat - Coming home to yourself

The Rested You Retreat - Coming home to yourself

A 4-day journey to slow down, reconnect with your body, and experience the profound nourishment of true rest.

This retreat is our unique approach to countering stress, overwhelm, and disconnection. Our time together is an invitation to reset your nervous system, reconnect with yourself and others, and remember the profound nourishment of true rest.

In a world that constantly asks for more, it’s easy to feel depleted, disconnected, and stuck in a cycle of doing. Stress and overwhelm quietly become the background hum of daily life, leaving little space for true rest or restoration.

This retreat is an invitation to step out of that cycle.

To soften the edges of exhaustion, loosen the grip of constant effort, and remember what it feels like to be deeply rested, present, and whole.

We invite you to slow down and reconnect with the wisdom of your body. To move at a gentler pace, listen more closely, and allow rest to become something you experience, not something you have to earn.

At the heart of the retreat are our three signature workshops, combined with additional thoughtfully curated practices, creating an experience that moves beyond traditional retreat offerings to gently reshape your relationship with rest and reconnect you more deeply with yourself.

Each day is thoughtfully woven with nourishing movement, Yoga Nidra, and somatic practices to support your nervous system and help you settle back into yourself. Evenings invite you to wind down with intentional sleep-prep rituals, and we close our time together in a heartfelt sharing circle.

Alongside our shared sessions, there is generous space for free exploration, hiking, swimming, resting, or simply following what your body and heart are drawn to in the moment.

You’ll leave not just feeling better, but feeling renewed: more rested, more connected, and more like yourself.

About The Rested You

Welcome to The Rested You, a space where deep rest, connection, and personal transformation come to life. We offer practical, research-informed rest practices that support nervous system regulation, stress reduction, and sustainable wellbeing. Founded by Claudia Menger and Rachel Brownbridge, our work is rooted in Yoga Nidra and mindful rest, helping people build more ease and balance in everyday life.

We are the co-creators of Scandinavia's most extensive Yoga Nidra Facilitator Training, and we've helped hundreds of people find their way to rest through our workshops, classes and ceremonies.
