Breath in theory and practice
Talks and practice sessions on how the breath affects body and mind, with breaks.

With Hege Svenningsen. A weekend exploring how conscious breathing can support body and mind, led by doctor and breath therapist Hege Svenningsen.

The breath is always with us, and it can be a key to calm, energy and inner balance. This weekend invites you to explore how conscious breathing can support both body and mind, in quiet surroundings close to nature.
Together with doctor and breath therapist Hege Svenningsen, you get a safe, well-grounded introduction to the breath as a tool. With more than 20 years of experience and a holistic approach to health, she shares knowledge and practice in a down-to-earth, accessible way.
The weekend combines talks, guided breathing sessions and gentle movement. You gain both understanding and experience, and simple techniques you can take with you into everyday life.
The weekend suits both those who are new to breathwork and those who want to go deeper.
You travel home with a calmer body, a more balanced nervous system and easier access to your own breath.

A guided breathwork session on Saturday afternoon, and a shorter breathwork session on Sunday.

Calm evening sessions to land in the body and the breath.

Hege Svenningsen is a doctor with more than 20 years of experience, around 15 of them as a GP. She has further training in holistic medicine, including Unity Therapy (Enhetsterapi) with Audun Myskja and Integrative Breathing Teacher training with Rosalba Courtney. She is also a MediYoga and Ashtanga yoga teacher, mindfulness coach and firewalk instructor.
Over the last 7 to 8 years she has focused especially on the breath as medicine. She left her GP practice in November 2023 to teach the breath as a tool for better health, vitality and inner calm. In summer 2025 she published a pilot study on breath therapy for persistent bodily symptoms.
