Terms and conditions
All workshops and events advertised by us or promoted by third parties are sold subject to the following booking conditions.
1. Booking procedure
- On making a booking with us, each person travelling must accept the terms of these booking conditions.
- Your booking is considered definite, and a contract exists between you and Nøsen, only when a letter of confirmation has been sent to you. No contract exists between us before we issue the confirmation letter.
2. Workshop and hotel room prices
- Workshop and retreat prices, and what is included, are stated individually for each workshop.
- Hotel room prices vary by season and date, and we reserve the right to change the prices accordingly.
- We reserve the right to change the published prices before you book your stay.
3. Arrival and departure
- You can check in after 3 pm on the scheduled date of your arrival, unless you purchase an early check-in, which is subject to availability.
- Guests arriving after 8 pm must inform the hotel, and we will find a solution so you can check in and find your room.
- Check-out is at 11.00 am on the departure date.
- Late check-out is charged at 100 NOK per hour. Late check-out must be requested in advance, and is subject to availability. Check-outs after 2.00 pm are charged as an extra night.
- If you have purchased snacks or drinks from our café and leave without paying for them, we will charge them to the card we have on file.
4. Non-smoking policy
- In keeping with the global initiative and in line with applicable laws, we strive to provide a smoke-free environment for all our guests, visitors and employees. This smoke-free environment is to be maintained, and smoking is therefore strictly prohibited in the entire hotel. This includes guest rooms, corridors, bars and lavatories.
- Anyone not complying with the smoke-free law commits an offence against the law. The fixed penalty for the person smoking is 5000 kr. We kindly ask you to respect the law and not smoke in the hotel.
5. Pets
- Nøsen Yoga og Fjellhotell is a pet-friendly hotel. Dog-friendly rooms carry an extra charge of 150 NOK per night. Please make sure you tell us if you are bringing your four-legged friend, so we can book a suitable room for you.
- Pets are not allowed to enter the kitchen, dining room, living room, or yoga and meditation rooms.
- The owner is responsible for, and will carry all costs of, any damage the animal may cause.
- The animal must be under the owner's supervision when outside the owner's room.
6.1 Cancellation by you
- You (or any member of your party) may cancel your stay at any time, provided the cancellation is made by the person who submitted the booking form and is communicated to us in writing. Cancellation takes effect on the day the notification is sent. As this incurs administrative costs, we will refund the paid fee proportionally.
- The cancellation policy applies both to hotel stays and to workshops and events.
- On delivery of a medical record from a doctor, a 75% refund is guaranteed for cancellations announced before the workshop begins.
- Once your holiday has started, no refund or part refund for any unused portion of your holiday will be repaid if you cancel.
- Cancellations of bookings made through operators other than our websites, such as Booking.com, Airbnb, Novasol.no or Expedia, are charged according to their stated policies.

6.2 Cancellation and amendments by us
- Nøsen Yoga og Fjellhotell reserves the right in any circumstances to cancel your stay, in which case we will offer a full refund.
- It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your holiday, but we do plan the arrangements many months in advance. Occasionally changes may have to be made (for example to the programme, the type of accommodation or the yoga teacher), which we reserve the right to do at any time. Changes are normally minor, and we will let you know as soon as possible. If your type of accommodation must be changed, we will do our utmost to provide accommodation of a similar or higher standard.
- Important note: compensation will not be paid if Nøsen Yoga og Fjellhotell is forced to cancel or in any way change your holiday due to war, the threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, technical or maintenance problems with transport, or other circumstances which amount to force majeure.
7. Insurance and health
We strongly recommend that you have full travel insurance to cover medical expenses and personal belongings.
- You should have your own travel insurance and give us the details in case of emergency. You should also check with your doctor that you are sufficiently fit and healthy to take part in yoga classes and any other physical activity we have arranged, or that you may arrange during your stay.
8. Our liability to you
- We accept responsibility for ensuring that the holidays you book with us are supplied as described, and that the services we are contractually obliged to provide are of a reasonable standard. We accept responsibility for the acts and/or omissions of our employees, agents and suppliers, except where they lead to death, injury or illness (see below).
- We accept responsibility for death, injury or illness caused by the negligent acts and/or omissions of our employees or agents, together with our suppliers and sub-contractors, servants and/or agents of the same, while acting within the scope of, or in the course of, their employment in the provision of your holiday. We will accordingly pay our client such damages as might have been awarded in such circumstances under Norwegian law.
- Optional trips booked locally are not our responsibility.
9. Complaints
- If you have a problem during your holiday, please inform a member of our team immediately, who will try to put things right. If your complaint cannot be resolved locally, you must notify us in writing on your return. Please note that we cannot guarantee the proportion of men and women in any group, and cannot be responsible for the individual behaviour of any group member or other guest at your accommodation.

12. Rental of equipment
- All use of the rental properties is entirely at your own risk. This means that the tenant cannot claim compensation from Nøsen Yoga og Fjellhotell unless any damage, including but not limited to personal and property damage, occurs as a direct result of a grossly negligent act.
- The tenant is fully and completely responsible for all rented and lent equipment during the rental period. If any of the equipment is damaged, lost or stolen, the tenant will be charged the full costs associated with this.
