Āsana and Introspection with Jules and Martyna Febre

Āsana and Introspection with Jules and Martyna Febre

This September, we return to Nøsen for our seventh year of gathering in the mountains, this time with a quieter, more inward focus.

Asana and Introspection has always been about depth. But this year, we’ll lean more fully into the practical side of spiritual practice, fewer lectures, more time on the mat and cushion. Each day will be shaped by the rhythm of asana, seated meditation, and journaling, supported by nourishing vegan meals and the quiet presence of the surrounding landscape.

We’ll practice early morning meditation, including simple guided sits and a daily writing exercises. Our asana practices will be purposeful and strong, designed to prepare the body for seated stillness and to release what keeps us distracted or dull. Each session builds on the one before, helping you stay close to yourself through the power of repetition and rhythm.

This is not a yoga holiday. It’s a time to be earnest without being heavy, to recommit to your practice in a supportive environment, surrounded by friends, mountains, and moments of both silence and laughter. Whether it’s your first time with us or your fifth, this retreat is a chance to go deeper together.

All levels of sincere practitioners are welcome.

About Martyna and Jules Febre

Martyna and Jules Febre are co-founders of Liberation Lab and longtime practitioners and teachers of the Jivamukti Yoga method. Together, they offer yoga as a living, relational practice rooted in tradition, inquiry, and care.

Based in Berlin, Martyna brings a heart-centered and compassionate presence to her teaching, shaped by an early background in acting and years of dedicated study, including advanced training with Sharon Gannon and David Life, time in Goa with Rolf Naujokat, and an 800-hour apprenticeship with Petros Haffenrichter.

Raised on New York City’s Lower East Side, Jules began his yoga studies at a young age, traveling to India as a teenager to study Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and later immersing himself in the Jivamukti method. Now teaching and facilitating trainings worldwide, his classes weave asana, meditation, chanting, and philosophy with depth and devotion.

Together, Martyna and Jules create spaces for connection, reflection, and meaningful transformation through classes, retreats, and immersive experiences.

Yoga Sadhana Nordic Retreat with Bobbi & Simon

Yoga Sadhana Nordic Retreat with Bobbi & Simon

Join Bobbi and Simon at the historic Nøsen Yoga Hotel for an immersive journey into the heart of tradition. Perched within Norway’s majestic mountains, this retreat is a unique invitation to blend your inner and outer worlds, moving into the lived experience of Sadhana.

Designed for those who are ready to go deeper into their spiritual (and embodied) practice, this retreat provides the "yogi cave" environment needed to unfold the mystery of the Self. Between our deep-dive sessions, you are invited to rinse and repeat the practice by immersing yourself in the serene Nordic landscape—relaxing in the sauna, strolling through ancient trails, or finding stillness by a pristine alpine lake.

Our Daily Rhythm

Morning Vinyasa Krama: A dedicated practice of dynamic Yogasana, Pranayama, and Meditation. We use the lineage of Śrī T. Krishnamacharya to align energy with awareness, purifying the nādīs and preparing the body to become a steady seat for stillness. Skilled hands-on adjustments & personalized feedback.

Meditation & Satsang: Transition from movement into the "state of Yog" through contemplative dialogue and Nondual Meditation.

Deep Study I: Living Your Sadhana: Practical, light-hearted guidance on how to integrate traditional pillars of yogic knowledge into your life now. Take the mystery out of your daily practice and learn to meet the miracles of life with equanimity.

Deep Study II: Living Your Scriptures: We bring the ancient wisdom of the Vedic scriptures to life, proving that these timeless truths are not just for the forest-dwellers of the past, but for the modern seeker today.

Nature & Sauna: Rejuvenate the body and mind with forest immersion, traditional saunas, and wild lake swims—harmonizing the depth of your study with the restorative power of the majestic Norwegian wild.

Nordic Nature - Sauna, Yoga & Mountain Retreat with Hilde Karlsen

Nordic Nature - Sauna, Yoga & Mountain Retreat with Hilde Karlsen

Hilde, Molly & Sam are collaborating once again to bring you a rejuvenating 4 day mountain retreat with sauna ritual, wild swims, mountain walks, yin yoga, breathwork and nourishing food to enrich the soul. In the mountains, there is a space where the body can rest, the breath expands, and the mind becomes quiet. Through these nourishing practices in stillness, movement, and moments of song, Hilde, Molly & Sam invite you to land in yourself and in nature.

These rituals and practices offered are about cultivating presence and connecting to your inner sanctuary. Here, there is no right way, no expectations. Just the mountains, your body, your breath, and whatever unfolds when you give yourself time to slow down and take in the powerful energy of the stunning nature around.

Sauna Rituals

A guided sauna experience with Hilde.

This two-hour ritual includes four sauna sessions, each followed by peaceful breaks with time to rest, breathe, drink tea, and enjoy refreshing cold dips.

Hilde takes you deep into Norwegian nature, into the mountains, and into yourself—a journey through time and place. Hallingskarvet 2.0: an experience with the mountain right at your side.

Guided Mountain Walk

A shared walk through the beautiful landscape surrounding Nøsen.

We walk together—sometimes in silence, sometimes in conversation.

With Hilde, you are invited to look up, look down, lie in the moss, listen to the sounds, observe the colors, and find stillness.

In our busy lives, we often rush through beautiful moments without noticing them.

With Hilde, nature comes close.

Cold Water Bath

A shared bathing experience.

We walk together down to the lake below Nøsen and bathe in cold, clean, fresh Norwegian mountain water. Here, you can swim and drink at the same time.

Blissful Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra & Gentle Breathwork

Join Molly and explore restorative yin yoga postures which you can melt into and completely relax. Using the power of your breath, allow the body to open and let go of any stress, slipping into a restful state of mind. Soothe the nervous system, restore your energy levels by giving yourself the gift of slowing down and turning inwards to honour exactly what your body needs. Tune in to the nature around you, set intentions, move, breathe and simply relax with ease. Enjoy a guided chakra meditation, gentle breathwork to release and reset, and deeply relaxing yoga nidra (yogic sleep). Molly invites you to listen to your body and receive in her blissful restorative practices.

Sauna Ceremony

Sam & Molly from Heal Saunas host invigorating Sauna Ceremonies. An ancient ritual of release, connection and renewal inspired by Scandinavian & Eastern European sauna practices.

A 2 hour guided multi-sensory experience journeying through the seasons, with hot and cold therapies, natural homemade skin treatments, foraged leaf whisks to massage the body, and therapeutic herbal infusions all picked from their herb garden.

Immerse yourself in the contrast of deep heat with multiple 10-15 minute rounds in and out of the sauna, bathe amongst natures healing gifts as the foraged leaf whisks direct the steam around the sauna allowing you to release layers of built up stress and tension. Sam and Molly offer 1:1 bodywork with the whisks creating a safe environment for you to deeply release and let go, dropping into your body's wisdom.

This nourishing sauna ceremony brings you closer to nature, yourself and others. An experience taking you deeper into the possibilities of sauna and ritual. Open your heart & mind and receive the healing benefits of nature, community, and deep heat as Sam & Molly take you on this one of a kind journey.

Experience the breath as divine essence — the pulse of reality itself. Cultivate a refined nervous system and an expanded sense of self through breath-centered spiritual practice.

The retreat suits especially well for yoga teachers, meditation teachers and breathworkers, but also as a deep dive to everyone working in the field of breath and having some experience with meditative practices / awareness cultivation.

Breath of Autumn – A Restorative Retreat for stress relief and nervous system support- With Paulina Cupello

Breath of Autumn – A Restorative Retreat for stress relief and nervous system support- With Paulina Cupello

A nourishing autumn retreat for those who feel the need to slow down, release stress, and reconnect with themselves on a deeper level.

Building on last year’s fully booked retreat, this edition offers a deeper, body-based approach. For those returning, it is an opportunity to revisit the experience from a new place — and for new participants, a gentle and accessible entry into this work.

Throughout the retreat, we will move through a simple process of landing, sensing and expressing — supporting the body to settle, reconnect and integrate.

Alongside the experience, the retreat also offers simple and practical tools to support nervous system regulation, self-awareness, and everyday wellbeing. For those interested, it can also be approached as a learning experience, with the possibility to receive a certificate of completion upon request.

Set in the quiet and beautiful surroundings of Nøsen, this retreat offers a space to step away from daily demands, rest deeply, and reconnect with yourself in a meaningful way. The intention is not only to relax, but to leave with practical tools and a felt sense of calm that you can bring into everyday life.

While there will be time to rest and enjoy the surroundings, this retreat is designed as a deeper experience — an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and explore your inner landscape in a gentle and supported way.

This retreat is suitable for all levels and requires no previous experience.

Practical Tools and Ongoing support

  • You will leave not only rested, but with simple and practical tools — including breathing practices, self-care strategies, and ways to support your nervous system in everyday life.

  • Optional practices such as guided journaling and creating your own self-care menu will be offered to support reflection and integration.

  • The retreat also offers space for meaningful group connection, allowing shared experience in a supportive and grounded environment.

  • A certificate of completion is available upon request for those who wish to approach the retreat as a learning experience.

  • A limited number of participants will also have the opportunity to continue with a complimentary 1:1 yoga therapy intake session in Oslo after the retreat.

Preparing for birth | A pregnancy Yoga Weekend Retreat - With Mika Anush & Sunniva Sipus

Preparing for birth | A pregnancy Yoga Weekend Retreat - With Mika Anush & Sunniva Sipus

A gentle weekend in the mountains for rest, connection, and preparation for birth.
Pregnancy is a time of profound change - physically, emotionally, and internally.
This retreat offers a quiet space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and prepare for birth in a supportive and nurturing environment.

About the Retreat

This weekend retreat is designed as a supportive pause during pregnancy - a time to step away from everyday life and reconnect with yourself, your baby, and the journey toward birth. A space where each participant can feel seen and cared for, and feel supported within a community of women walking a similar path.

Through prenatal yoga, breathing practices, guided relaxation, and birth preparation sessions, we explore both the physical and emotional aspects of pregnancy and birth.

The focus of the weekend is not intensity or performance, but rest, embodiment, and quiet preparation. In the peaceful surroundings of the Norwegian mountains, you will have time to listen inward and connect with your baby.

Both facilitators are experienced yoga teachers and doulas with backgrounds in pregnancy support and emotional wellbeing.

Optional individual sessions such as prenatal massage or 1:1 support sessions may be available during the retreat for those who wish to receive additional care.

This retreat is for pregnant women in the second and third trimester who wish to slow down, reconnect with their body, and prepare for birth in a calm and supportive environment.

Participation & Pace

Pregnancy is a time of constant change, and every body moves through it differently.

During this retreat you are always encouraged to listen to your own needs. All sessions are optional, and you are welcome to participate fully, modify the practices, take breaks, or simply rest whenever your body asks for it.

There is absolutely no pressure to keep up or perform in any way

Additional Information

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal yoga is a deeply nourishing practice that supports the body, mind, and nervous system during pregnancy.

Through gentle movement and conscious breathing, you are invited to land more fully in your body, strengthen the connection with your baby, and reconnect with your innate birth wisdom.

The practice encourages intuitive movement and inner listening, helping you prepare for birth with greater presence and trust. It may also help release physical and mental tension, support the nervous system, and ease common pregnancy discomforts such as pelvic or back pain.

All practices are adapted for pregnancy and can be modified according to individual needs. No previous experience with yoga is required.

Yoga Nidra – Deep Rest and Relaxation

Yoga Nidra is a deeply restorative guided meditation practiced lying down in a fully supported position.

This practice gently guides the body and mind into a state of deep relaxation where the nervous system can soften and reset. During pregnancy, Yoga Nidra can support emotional balance, reduce stress, and improve sleep.

It also creates a quiet inner space where you can connect with your baby, cultivate trust in your body, and restore your energy.

Birth Preparation

During the birth preparation sessions we explore the natural process of labor and how the body moves through birth in its own rhythm.

Rather than focusing only on information, we also explore how birth may feel - physically, emotionally, and internally - helping the unknown become more familiar.

You will gain a grounded understanding of the physiological process of birth while also preparing for the emotional landscape that can arise during labor.

We will also share inspiration for writing a birth preferences document (fødebrev), helping you clarify what matters to you and how to communicate your wishes with healthcare providers.

The intention of these sessions is to build quiet trust - in the process of birth, in your body, and in your ability to meet the experience with awareness rather than fear.

Pain Relief Options – Natural and Medical

During the retreat we explore a wide range of comfort measures that can support you during labor.

You will receive an overview of common medical pain relief options used in hospital settings, including when they are typically offered and how they may influence the progression of labor.

Alongside this, we explore natural techniques that support the physiology of birth and encourage the release of oxytocin - the hormone that helps labor progress and deepens the sense of safety and connection.

These techniques may include breath work, sound, supportive positions, acupressure, rebozo techniques, Spinning Babies® inspired movements, and tools such as the birth comb.

The intention is not to promote one approach over another, but to expand your options so you can meet birth with greater confidence and flexibility.

Acupressure for Pregnancy and Birth

Acupressure is a gentle hands-on technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that works with the body's natural energy pathways.

During the retreat you will learn specific pressure points that can support relaxation, focus, and pain relief throughout the different stages of labor.

These techniques are simple and practical tools that you can bring with you into the birth space.

Rebozo & Spinning Babies® Inspired Techniques

Rebozo sifting and gentle techniques inspired by Spinning Babies® can be powerful tools during labor.

Performed by a birth partner or doula, these techniques help create relaxation in the body, balance in the pelvis, and optimal positioning for the baby.

The rhythmic movements support the body’s natural rhythms, release tension, and create a sense of safety that allows the birthing person to surrender more fully to the process of labor.

Postpartum Guidance

The postpartum period, also known as the fourth trimester, is a time of deep transition - physically, emotionally, and hormonally.

During the retreat we will also touch upon the weeks following birth and how you can support yourself during this important period of recovery and bonding.

We will share reflections and guidance around rest, nourishment, emotional changes, breastfeeding, and realistic expectations during the early weeks with a newborn.

The intention is to offer gentle awareness and inspiration for the journey after birth.

Community & Shared Space

Pregnancy is both an intimate and transformative experience. While much of the journey happens within, it can also be deeply supportive to spend time with other women walking a similar path.

Throughout the retreat we create a calm and respectful space where you are welcome to participate at your own pace.

There is no expectation to share - only space to listen, reflect, and be.

Often, conversations become softer in this kind of environment. Questions that felt private become easier to voice, and experiences are met with recognition rather than advice.

The atmosphere is simple, grounded, and supportive.

Closing Ceremony

On our final day we will gather for a gentle closing ceremony to honour the time we have shared together, while we settle into a quiet meditation in this circle of womanhood.

This is a space to integrate the experiences of the weekend, connect with your baby, and gently prepare to return home.

Your Hosts

Mika is a doula based in Oslo, originally from Argentina, supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
She sees this time as a deeply personal and transformative experience - one that unfolds not only in the body, but also emotionally and relationally. Her work is grounded in calm presence, emotional safety, and continuity of care.

With a background as a psychologist, she brings a gentle awareness to the inner processes that can arise during pregnancy and the transition into motherhood, creating space for each woman to feel seen, supported, and met as she is.

Her approach is not about following a fixed plan, but about helping women feel informed, connected to their body, and held throughout the experience.

Mika is also the mother of Atlas, born November 2024.

Sunniva Sipus | Doula, Yoga Teacher & Prenatal Guide

Sunniva is a doula and prenatal yoga teacher based in Norway, supporting women through pregnancy with a grounded and body-oriented approach.

Her work is rooted in the understanding that the body holds an innate wisdom for birth. Through movement, breath, and presence, she guides women to connect with their own rhythm and build trust in their body’s capacity.

Over the years, her experience with prenatal yoga and birth support has shaped a calm and steady way of accompanying women - one that values simplicity, awareness, and respect for the natural unfolding of pregnancy and labor.

Her approach invites women to feel supported in their own process, rather than guided into a specific way of doing.

With a background in the performing arts, her work is also informed by a sensitivity to the body, presence, and expression. This is complemented by her experience with practices such as yoga nidra and energy-based work, as well as holding space in women’s retreats - all of which deepen her ability to create environments where women can soften, reconnect, and be met as they are.

Sunniva is also the mother of two children, Felix (2008) and Lilja (2011).
