The body has a naturally developed ability to stand upright and to walk. Do you like to move, whether it's the short walks in everyday life, longer trips or maybe you like to run. Then this is the retreat for you.
When we're out and about, we're doing something that's most natural for our bodies, and the most healthful activity we have available. Unfortunately, over time we develop patterns in the body, which do not serve the body appropriately and which prevent naturally good posture and free and easy movement. We will explore these a bit, and look at what each of us can benefit from changing. You will certainly have some “aha” experiences about your own posture and what may be important for how you move.
These days we will focus on the most important events that are set in motion in the body when we step off, seen from a muscle-fascia perspective. Most of all, this will be a physical experience, as we will do exercises that stimulate and support a natural upright posture and movement.
Program for the days:
Morning: The days will start with Yoga and Sling's myofascia training, which promotes good posture, supports breathing and gives ease and resilience in the gait.
After breakfast: We put the morning session into practice. We have a joint walk along the lovely roads in the area. We focus on presence in the body when we walk and feel the movements. Walking meditation.
Self-time: Enjoy life as you wish. The nature in the area may entice you out for a walk or it tempts you to peace and quiet.
Afternoon and evening: It will be a wonderful time with quiet Yoga, self-massage with balls and deep relaxation Yoga Nidra. We will also get to know fascia, its qualities and importance for how you move and perceive the body. What keeps us upright, and what importance psoas-piriformis balance has for the pelvis and walking.
