Overview

What do we need to have energy for the life we want to live, over time? On 20–22 November, Ida Hansteen and Christina Therkildsen invite you to a weekend at Nøsen where knowledge, experience and movement meet.

Ida Hansteen, author of a book on living with cancer, shares research-based knowledge and her own experience of how physical activity, mental strategies and good everyday choices can matter when life and health are challenged. Christina Therkildsen, founder of Krønsj, runs a training centre focused on whole health and works with movement and training as a resource in everyday life.

We explore how training can be about far more than performance and fitness: how we can build capacity, land in the body and feel how movement gives energy.

You do not need to be burnt out, ill or 'tired enough' to join this weekend. Perhaps you just feel it is time to make some changes and make sure your own health does not end up at the bottom of the list.

We will talk about what actually affects our health, what research says about physical activity and illness, how load and recovery fit together, and how we can make more room for strength, sleep, breath, movement, community and joy in an ordinary life. And we will do it in practice.

The practices

Talks

Ida on movement and mental strength when health is challenged; Christina on why the body needs varied load and rest. Theory and practice.

BODYART and yoga

Gentle BODYART flow, morning slow-flow yoga and a myofascial morning practice with mobility, breath and flow.

Joy: move more, think less

A playful, energetic session with music, rhythm, strength, pulse and freer movement. No perfect moves and no performance.

Rest: breath, yoga and the nervous system

Gentle yoga, simple breathing and guided meditation, on the difference between being tired and being recovered.

My own compass

A practical, personal closing where each participant picks a few choices to take home: What gives me energy? What drains me? What does my body need more of? What will I actually do differently?

What to bring

A notebook and pen; clothes you can move in and indoor shoes for the Krønsj Joy session; warm clothes for relaxation/Yoga Nidra. You may bring your own yoga mat and an eye pillow.

Christina Støle Therkildsen

Christina Støle Therkildsen

Founder of Krønsj, yoga teacher and breathwork coach

Christina runs her own training studio, Krønsj, in the heart of Oslo, and also works as a secondary school PE teacher. She has long experience as an entrepreneur through both Krønsj and Catslide, and for many years has taught courses for therapists and instructors in BODYART, Trigger Point and TRX. She is a qualified yoga teacher in Hatha, Vinyasa (RYT200) and Yin (RYT 50), and teaches breath, movement and stress management both at her studio and in companies.

In her work Christina cares about the role of breath and movement, both functionally and as a whole. She is fascinated by how music and rhythm can support the quality of movement, and how varied and well-judged load can build a strong, supple and balanced body.

Christina is a trained MI (motivational interviewing) counsellor and breathwork coach, and has more than 30 years of experience in health, training and movement. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology, political science and history. With Christina you explore breath, movement and body on your own terms, with a focus on presence and your own rhythm.

Ida Hansteen

Ida Hansteen

Author and social anthropologist

Ida is a social anthropologist, with fieldwork in China. She has worked in academic publishing all her adult life, as editor, editorial director and publishing director at three of Norway's largest publishers. In 2025 she published the book Kunsten å leve med kreft: en guide til kosthold, trening og mental styrke (The art of living with cancer: a guide to diet, exercise and mental strength), which combines a personal story with insight from research and the literature.

Ida trains with Christina at Krønsj. This weekend she shares her knowledge, experience and perspective on why movement is valuable physically, mentally and as people.

Ida will talk about how hard it is to choose to change your lifestyle when the cancer doctor says the changes will have no effect, and how, for her, changing diet and training was easier than working with thoughts and feelings. While writing the book, she came to wonder whether the latter is just as important, perhaps even the most important.

The program

Subject to change. Meals in italics.

Friday

  • Welcome. Christina and Ida open the weekend: on energy, capacity and the balance between what demands something of us and what gives back.

Saturday

  • Morning yoga. A gentle slow flow that wakes the body gradually and gives both strength and flow.
  • Breakfast
  • Ida: Movement and mental strength when health is challenged. What do we know about physical activity before, during and after serious illness? Depressive thoughts and feelings affect the body, but how? And what can we do to feel happy again?
  • Christina: The body needs more than one thing. Why do we need varied load and rest? On building a body that copes with everyday life, without turning health into yet another performance project. Theory and practice.
  • Lunch
  • Break, nature or free time
  • Joy: move more, think less. Music on. A playful, energetic workout with rhythm, strength, pulse and freer movement, ending with mobility and relaxation.
  • Dinner
  • Rest: breath, yoga and the nervous system. Gentle yoga, simple breathing and guided meditation. On the difference between being tired and being recovered, and how we can help the body shift gear.

Sunday

  • BODYART / myofascial morning. A calmer morning practice with fascia, mobility, breath and flow.
  • Breakfast and check-out
  • More energy in an ordinary life. Ida and Christina in conversation: what is really worth prioritising? Training, sleep, food, stress, relationships, mental strategies, and how do we make room for these without organising our whole life around 'optimal health'?
  • My own compass. A practical, personal closing: a few choices each participant wants to take home. We finish with movement, breath and a short meditation.
  • Shared lunch and closing
