Traditional tantric Hatha yoga
Every yoga class includes asanas (postures), relaxation, pranayama (breath) and meditation. We use props (blocks, bolsters, belts) to find stability, land in the postures and stay there a while.

With Annelie. A long weekend of traditional tantric Hatha yoga and mantra to find calm, balance and land in the body.

Welcome to a long weekend in the Norwegian mountains. Join us to find calm and balance and to land in the body, in a weekend focused on traditional tantric Hatha yoga and mantras. A break from everyday stress where you can really slow down, stop and listen inwards.
Over the weekend we explore the chakras, our energy centres, through movement, asanas, meditation and breathing exercises. We also explore and play with sound and sing several mantras together. Our focus is on getting to know Mantra Laya ('to dissolve'), a mantra made up of 50 sounds linked to the chakras of the body, said to be the origin of the Sanskrit language. We use it to land deeply in ourselves and settle into a meditative state. On the last day we repeat the 50 sounds in 20 rounds, representing 1000 sounds and the crown chakra.
We weave yoga practice together with workshop elements, moments of silence, rest and reflection, so all the experiences can sink in.
Traditional tantric Hatha yoga has nothing to do with neo-tantra (sex or sensuality). It is the householder's path: for people living alone or with family who use yoga and its techniques to become the best version of themselves, finding stability in life and body to meet everyday life with ease and joy. In Hatha yoga we work first of all with stability, in the body, in life and in the mind; flexibility comes second. We also work a lot with our energy.
When you leave Nøsen on Sunday you will feel soft in the body, rested and grounded, and inspired to use the techniques and knowledge from the weekend in everyday life, including a better understanding of mantras and how to use them in daily life and meditation.
You need no previous knowledge of mantras or yoga. Come with an open mind, alone or with friends.
