Reflect: looking back with gratitude
Opening circle and intention setting, gentle yoga flow, and a guided gratitude meditation followed by writing a letter to the year that has passed.

With Kirstin Arnesen and Elise Jansen. A three-day New Year retreat of mindful movement, meditation and reflection to start the year with clarity, calm and intention.

Start the year with clarity, calm and intention. 'A New Start' is a three-day retreat designed to help you reconnect with yourself through mindful movement, meditation and reflection.
Set in peaceful, natural surroundings, this restorative retreat invites you to pause, reset your nervous system to a deeper calm and make room for what really matters.
Through a carefully chosen blend of gentle yoga, guided mindfulness practices, reflection exercises and nourishing conversations, you will be supported in letting go of the past and stepping into the coming year with an open heart and a grounded presence.
Whether you are looking for a new perspective, emotional renewal or a quiet place to adjust your goals, this retreat offers a good start to a more intentional and balanced year.
Opening circle and intention setting, gentle yoga flow, and a guided gratitude meditation followed by writing a letter to the year that has passed.
Mindful yoga to shake off stagnant energy, a workshop on the art of letting go with guided journaling, a mindful ski or walking meditation, Yin yoga with a healing sound bath and a fire ceremony.
Morning meditation, a heart-opening yoga session and a closing workshop on living with intention, with practical tips for continuing mindfulness practice in the coming year.
Optional silence from the first evening until the next morning: a digital detox and space for inner stillness.

Kirstin Arnesen started yoga in 1998. She qualified as a yoga teacher at The Yoga Academy UK in 2018. Her great inspiration throughout these years has been the renowned yin, yang, restorative and somatic yoga teacher Simon Low, along with John Scott's approach to Ashtanga. This combination gets her on the mat every day.
For Kirstin, yoga is calm and peace: a peaceful state of mind without guilt or blame. Love, compassion and kindness are fundamental in life. She cares about living, practising and teaching a complete, integrated approach to overall health, wellbeing and beauty. Beauty that comes from within will show on the outside: inner and outer beauty.

Elise Jansen owns Mindful Yoga Kurs og Utdanning, where she teaches Restorative Yoga, MBSR and TRE courses. She runs trainings and courses in Mindfulness, Mindful Yoga, Mindful Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga in Oslo and abroad. In her day job she works as a clinical psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing practitioner (a body-oriented trauma treatment), with practices in Moss and Oslo.
Elise has practised yoga and meditation since she was a teenager and is a trained MBSR teacher through IMA (Institute for Mindfulness Based Approaches) and the OASIS institute. She is also one of the founders of the MBSR training run by the Norwegian Centre for Mindfulness. As a yoga teacher she has trained in Yogaworks, Mindfulness, Yoga and Neuroplasticity, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Restorative and Yin.
