New Year’s Retreat & Celebration at Nøsen
27 December 2026 – 1 January 2027
Yoga • Meditation • Philosophy • The Listening Body • Mountains • Sauna • Celebration
Don’t begin 2027 with more resolutions. Begin with something you can actually carry with you.
The days between Christmas and New Year are a natural pause. The old year is almost over. The new one has not yet begun.
What if we used these days a little differently?
Five days to move your body. Breathe. Listen. Go skiing. Sit by the fire. Soak in the spa. Eat well. Meet old friends and make new ones. Reflect on the year that has passed – and listen inwardly for what we truly want to make more room for in the year ahead.
From 27 December to 1 January, we invite you to a New Year’s retreat at Nøsen. There will be yoga and meditation every day, philosophy and conversation, The Listening Body with live music, mountains and skiing, spa and rest – and on New Year’s Eve, we’ll put the yoga mats aside and throw a proper party.
Come as you are. Go home with renewed energy, greater clarity, and a practice that can continue to matter long after these five days are over.
One chapter ends. Another begins.
This year’s theme is New Horizons – New Possibilities.
Not because a new year automatically makes us new people. And not because we need another self-improvement project.
But because sometimes it is worthwhile to stop.
What has the past year taught us? What do we want to keep? What can we let go of? And what truly deserves our time, attention and energy?
Yoga is, of course, about the body – strength, mobility, breath and health. But practised over time, yoga can also become something more: a way of becoming more familiar with our own patterns, distinguishing what matters from all the noise, and meeting life with greater presence, steadiness and openness.
Perhaps the question is not:
How can I become a better version of myself?
But rather:
How can I be more fully present in the life I already have?
That is where these days begin.
A New Year’s week for the whole person
We want to create a rhythm that allows us both to go deeper and to enjoy life.
Each morning begins with three parallel yoga practices, allowing you to choose the style and intensity that suits you. This is followed by meditation, breathwork and breakfast.
From Monday through Thursday, we gather each morning for The Listening Body – meditation concerts with pianist Annabel Guaita and Piotr Marcinów, where live music, philosophy, the body and meditation come together in an exploration of deep listening.
The rest of each day moves between yoga, philosophy, technique, meditation and conversation – with plenty of time left for the mountains, cross-country skiing, the spa, rest, the fireplace and simply being together.
This is not meant to be five days of rushing from one activity to the next.
There should be room simply to be human.
Four days – four questions
PRACTICE – What do we build over time?
The small things we repeat shape our lives. What do we want to cultivate – and what happens when a practice is given time to mature?
CLARITY – From reaction to response
Can yoga help us create a little more space between what happens to us and the way we respond?
PURPOSEFUL ACTION – From insight to action
Insight alone does not necessarily change a life. What deserves our energy, and how do we turn what we understand into what we actually do?
NEW HORIZONS – What do we carry forward?
What do we want to make more room for in 2027? Not as grand resolutions, but as a direction we can begin to walk towards.
Three parallel practices
BLACK LOTUS with Ty Landrum
An exploratory, somatic practice rooted in Ashtanga, bringing together breath, movement, awareness and philosophy.
MYSORE / ASHTANGA
Individual practice in a shared space, with personal guidance. For those who already have an Ashtanga practice – or who would like to become familiar with the method.
GUIDED CLASS / GENTLE YOGA
A calmer and more accessible practice with clear guidance, breath, movement and time to feel and listen.
All levels are welcome. You don’t need to be good at yoga. You only need to be curious.

More than a retreat
There will be space between the scheduled sessions: for skiing, the spa, the fireplace, silence, good conversations and new friendships.
Because yoga shouldn’t only work on the mat.
It should help us live.
Nøsen itself has been through a long transformation. For more than ten years, we have built, renovated, repaired and developed this place. Now the new floors, new roof, new dining room, new yoga spaces and new spa are finally complete.
That is why this particular New Year feels especially meaningful to us.
We want to celebrate that a long period of building is coming to an end – but even more than that, we want to celebrate the people who bring this house to life.
Old friends. New friends. Experienced yogis. Complete beginners. Those who come to deepen their practice, and those who simply need a few good days in the mountains.
There should be room for all of it.
Because the best thing we can hope for is not that you go home as a new person.
Only that you go home a little closer to yourself.
With a little more energy. A little less noise. A few new friends. A clearer sense of direction. And perhaps one or two good habits that actually make it home with you.
We close 2026 with gratitude for what has been – and meet 2027 with open eyes.
