A sustainable yoga practice
How to build a yoga practice that lasts, and how yoga can be part of everyday life.

With Tina Ørbeck-Nilssen. A yoga weekend at Nøsen where mountains, silence and community frame a deeper look at practice and philosophy.

Welcome to a yoga weekend at Nøsen: a place where mountains, silence and community frame a deeper look at practice and philosophy.
Over the weekend you are invited to both dynamic and gentle yoga classes, breathing exercises, reflection and theory. We look for a balance between the physical and the inner work: between strength and stillness, between movement and rest.
The weekend includes teaching, self-practice and group conversations. Questions and sharing of experience are always welcome, and the retreat suits all levels.
The mountains, silence and nature around Nøsen invite calm, reflection and presence. Between sessions there is time for walks, reading, knitting, or simply enjoying the view from the hotel.
Three tasty vegetarian meals are served each day: breakfast, a hot lunch and dinner.
How to build a yoga practice that lasts, and how yoga can be part of everyday life.
Exploring how body, breath, mind and life energy work together.
Yoga philosophy and how it can give direction in life.
Ayurvedic views on balance and vitality.
Led yoga classes in the mornings, with the choice of a led class or Mysore on Sunday, and gentle yoga on Saturday afternoon.

Tina Ørbeck-Nilssen is a yoga teacher and owner of Asker Yoga Shala. She discovered Ashtanga yoga in 2005 and completed a one-year yoga training with Alexander Medin in Oslo in 2010/2011. Since 2011 she has taught a wide range of groups, from children to seniors and elite athletes.
She teaches Ashtanga (led and Mysore) as well as gentler styles, courses and workshops. In 2014 she trained in Ayurvedic yoga massage at Axelsons Body Work School, and she also offers Indian head and face massage at her studio.
A daily practice, mainly Ashtanga, is a central part of Tina's life. She wants to share yoga as a healthy activity, a source of wellbeing and a way of life.

Our hotel is run by a dedicated mix of staff and volunteers, creating a unique and vibrant atmosphere. Some of our volunteers join us through Back in the Ring (BITR), a transformative program that supports people in rebuilding confidence, resilience and purpose after life’s challenges.
They take part in daily operations while developing practical skills, building community connections and engaging in personal growth activities. This means you may meet people from all walks of life, each contributing in their own way to the Nøsen experience.
We invite you to embrace the spirit of patience, openness and shared humanity that makes our community special.
