It can be scary to choose love

This episode of Yoga for livet is about relationships, love, and falling flat on your face and managing to get up again.
You meet the married couple Ellen Marie Medin and Alexander Medin. They have been together for seven years and married for five, and between them they have four children. Alongside running a mountain hotel, having small children, teaching at a folk high school, teaching yoga and working with people with drug problems through Back in the Ring, they also have to make the relationship work.
"It is complex," they both say, and stress that they do not want to glorify their own relationship.
"Now and then things get pretty heated at home," says Alexander.
"Yes, we fall flat on our faces, and then we have to get up again," says Ellen Marie, adding that it can be scary to choose love. "It is easy to be good when things are going well, but managing to be soft when things grate is a great art, and exactly what matters in a relationship."
"It is in our relationships with other people that the most important yoga happens," Alexander stresses. "It is easy to dive into philosophy, but it is in a relationship that you really learn something about yourself."
