The world we live in is constantly offering us information, actions, reactions and expecting us to do. When we really commit into the release of all efforts and allow ourselves to be, as we are, we find ourselves in a state of simple being. We will notice when we start to relax more into the postures, body gets more spacious. This can lead you into new areas to explore, whether it means you can go deeper or maybe feel new sensations that you never had. Try not to fight your way through it, but instead calm your breath, body, mind and be open to the changes in the soul.
- 19.00 – 20:00 Dinner
Sunday 2nd December
- 07:00 – 09:00 Vinyasa RISE
In this vinyasa class we will start with a guided meditation and pranayama, before finding strength, stability and freedom in poses that will lead you into arm balances. Letting go of old habits, and though anatomy explorations and principles of gravity, you will feel lighter and RISE.
- 9:00 – 10:00 Breakfast
- 11:00 - 13:00 Finding Backspace Workshop
Isolating our spine from the rest of the body gives us the wonderful capacity to feel the numbness and limitations we hold. Traveling through the spaces of our spinal cord makes us realize not only that the whole body is attached to our spine through nerves and electricity impulses that travel through the heart to the brain.
As we open our hearts we are able to give to others and to the world but working on the back aspects of our heart chakra brings us to the point of acceptance and receiving. We are mystical beings in need for trust that the universe has got our backs.
Physically we will explore heart openers initiated from the support of backspace.
- 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch
- 14:00 – 16:00 Goodbye and departure
About the teachers
Igor Coelho (500 RYT)
Ballroom and contemporary dance university background, he began his yoga practice the moment he felt some kind of connection with him self and the world around him went missing. Speechless with the deep benefits of practicing yoga, he decided to leave all behind and start a journey of creating a new self in India. He combines his passion for yoga in each and every single class with playful and encouraging cues, focused emphasis on the breath, drishti and being present.
His fluid but challenging classes focus on traditional Hatha yoga and alignment based Vinyasa flow.
Through his relaxed, non-judgemental and heartfelt classes, he hopes to inspire true lifestyle change by aligning the mind, body and soul, bringing eastern philosophy to the contemporary fast-paced western lifestyle.
Bjørn Jakobsen (900 RYT)
Bjørn is a former gymnast and has worked in the fitness industry for many years. He is a licensed personal trainer from AFPT and has presented group classes and done workshops all over Norway and abroad. He likes to combine strength and elements of movement in his classes with a playful approach.
In his yoga journey he found a lot of resistance in being still, finding patience and peace. This led to exploring yin, pranayama and meditation. When noticing the effect, it had on the mind – being flexible changed from doing the splits, to find new ways of looking at things. Being physically strong, changed to show vulnerability and ask for help and guidance.
